  1. Pour ghee in a non stick pan and lightly toss the sooji.Add coconut paste,1 tbsp milk and little sugar.Form into a lump.Make small cylindrical pulis and set aside.
  2. Meanwhile boil milk till half the quantity.Add khoya or milk powder.Add crushed palm jaggery and boil till gur dissolves.If using sugar,chopped pistachios,almonds,crushed cardamom can be used for garnishing.Patali gur has it’s own flavour so garnishing can be omitted.
  3. When the kheer is almost done dip the pulis in it and give it a boil.Add 1 tsp cornflour paste (optional) to get a thick kheer.
  4. Serve chilled.
