  1. Take 1/2 cup of bulgur and 1/2 cup of red lentil.
  2. Clean and soak lentil for an hour.
  3. In a saucepan place soaked lentil, burgul, chopped onion, salt and 3 cups of water.
  4. Place in the stove top to cook in medium heat for about 30 to 40 minutes till lentil becomes soft and mashy.
  5. Take 1 and half cup of sausage chicken stock.
  6. Add this to the boiling soup and mix.
  7. Cook for 5 minutes.
  8. Add tomato paste or you can also add tomato puree.
  9. Give it a good mix.
  10. Also add chilli flakes and chopped fresh mint or 1/2 teaspoon dried mint.
  11. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  12. Check the consistency of the soup. It should be creamy.
  13. You can use a hand blender to make the soup smooth in consistency.
  14. Check seasoning and remove from heat.
  15. Transfer to soup bowls and serve immediately.
