The ingredients needed to make Veg fish:
- Take 1 bottle gourd medium-sized
- Prepare for stuffing ingredients.
- Prepare 100 grams cabbage
- Get 100 grams cauliflower
- Make ready 100 grams cottage cheese
- Prepare 2 boiled potatoes
- Prepare 100 gms boiled peas
- Prepare 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
- Prepare 4 green chillies chopped
- Take 10-15 mint leaves
- Take 1/4 tbsp each Coriander powder,red chilli powder
- Get as needed Salt and turmeric powder
- Get 2 tbsp oil
- Make ready For gravy–
- Make ready 50 grams roasted peanuts
- Take 3 tbsp roasted coconut
- Make ready 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- Take 3 onions (brown onion paste)
- Make ready 1 inch cinnamon stick
- Take 3-4 bay leaves
- Take 3-4 cloves
- Prepare 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
- Prepare 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- Get 1 tablespoon red chilli powder
- Make ready as needed Turmeric and salt
- Take 1 tbsp garam masala
- Make ready 1 teaspoon fenugreek leaves
- Take 2 tbsp cream
- Take as required Coriander leaves
- Prepare 6 tbsp oil
Steps to make Veg fish:
- First take bottle gourd and cut it’s down side part for base
- Don’t peel off the bottle gourd
- Cut in bhi shape from front side for face and back side also bhi shape for it’s tail
- From upside make skulls and eye like fish, shown in the picture
- Now on slow flame roast it on tawa aur kadai
- Turn it slowly added with chilli powder salt and turmeric powder
- Slowly turn it continuously on very slow flame till it get tender
- Apply ginger garlic paste on it and roast properly
- When it get tender and roasted properly, take out all seeds from inside (make it hollow)
- Fish stuffing–
- Now take a kadhai and add some oil and crackle cumin seeds.
- Now add finely chopped inside the material, which we took out from bottle gourd
- Now add finely chopped cabbage and cauliflower
- Add coriander powder jeera powder red chilli powder turmeric and salt and mix properly
- Now add chopped boiled potatoes and boiled green peas
- Add finely chopped cottage cheese,mint and 1 tomato finely chopped
- Add Ginger garlic paste and garam masala and mix it properly
- Cover it for 5 minutes and switch off the flame,stuffing is ready
- For gravy–
- In a kadhai add 4 tbsp oil and add cloves, bay leaves and cinnamon stick
- Now crackle some jeera or cumin seeds
- Add Ginger garlic paste and stir it.
- Now add brown onion paste and mix it properly
- Now add coriander and jeera powder turmeric and salt as needed
- Now add peanut, roasted coconut and seasam seed powder
- Mix well properly and add garam masala and kasuri methi or fenugreek leaves
- Add water as needed and cover it for 5 minutes
- When it get boil switch off the flame and add cream gravy is ready
- Now prepared stuffing fill in roasted bottle gourd (from down side) and slowly put it in a dish
- And pour prepared gravy on fish, add coriander leaves and the veg. fish is ready
