- In a heavy bottom pot, heat the milk with 1 tsp sugar and vanilla essence/vanilla bean until a little bubbly but NOT over heat it. Switch off the heat.
- In a separate mixing bowl, beat egg yolks, sugar and corn starch. Beat it well.
- Pour half of the milk mixture carefully and slowly into egg mixture. Whisk them well.
- Add the egg mixture into the other half of milk in the pot.
- Slowly heat the mixture for 2-4 minutes until it is thickened and keep whisking it to avoid the bottom part get burned.
- Switch off the heat. Strain the custard mixture into fresh bowl.
- Cover the custard with wrapping folio and chill it overnight.
- The next day. Prepare the biscuit. Mash the oreo/chocolate cookies, butter cookies, peanuts in food processor/mortar pestle.
- Add the melted margarine/butter in each mashed cookies.
- Get a glass/bowl, assembly the layered custard as your wish. Garnish it as your wish.
- Other options: you may use the custard for fruits; exchange the cookies with granola, muesli, cornflakes, fruit puree.
- Chill it in the fridge for 2 hours or serve it rightaway.
